Hi Everyone, No Happy Thursday today.

The last couple of weeks have been really tough!

I do have great support with Palliative Care and Hospice but my brain is pretty well fried!

Last week we decided to start Julie on the Tylenol with codeine. I thought that would chill her out and help her sleep as well as take care of the pain, it didn't really help, just made her more sleepy, restless and spacey. Also last week our dog of 13 years decided to get sick, I caught her a few times in the yard eating chicken poop. She couldn't walk, so off to the vet for a check-up and some meds. She's doing better now. Friday was Jake's hernia surgery, that went well. I picked him up from the hospital right before the Kamala rally started in Madison. A 15 minute ride home turned into an hour! Really people, let's block off all the streets in Madison on a Friday afternoon at rush hour! That rally must have cost the City of Madison millions of dollars because I could not count all the squad cars and police officers involved. I was able to count the 2 police men or women on horseback. I was going to do a TikTok video but I didn't want to get arrested for driving with my phone in my hand.

Saturday, Leah and Danny came from Florida and stayed the night . So I had a full house... Julie sick, the dogs sick, Jake all looped up and recovering and Leah, Danny and dog Neo. It wasn't that bad, I guess???

This week started out with our video meeting with the Palliative Care on Monday. We talked about starting morphine but decided to try to get more Tylenol with codeine. Tuesday I came down with a cold, or allergies, I think it is a cold. I'm feeling a little bit better today. Today was a meeting with Hospice, they are going to start coming every day to check on Julie. We did decide to switch to the morphine to see if that will help her.

As for exhaustion... I am there, Julie is there , my family is there. We all just want the best for Julie. Julie and I have said from the start, no suffering... and Julie is suffering!

I want to thank everyone again for all your love and support and prayers and food and flowers and cards and visits and everything I forgot to mention.

We will keep doing the best we can.

Love to all, keep praying

Joe and Julie
