Hi Everyone,
Happy Sunday!
It's been a while since I've put together and sent out a blog. Life has been very busy for me.
I have been staying in Venice, Florida since we all left Julie's service... or should I say beach party.
At first, I was staying with Leah and Danny. Then I came back to Wisconsin... then I stayed with Leah and Danny again, and then I went to some friends house for a while and finally I moved into my mobile home April 15th since my winter renters have now left for the summer. I was kind of living out of my car... I felt like a nomad!
The mobile home is great! Why is it called a mobile home I will never know... Once it's put in place, it never moves! (although my dad did have one moved once??) didn't understand that! Anyways, I have settled in and have been on the complex daily at the Villas of Venice where I am the President of the Association and am working to restore all of the units, including mine, that were destroyed from the hurricanes last year. The total project will be around 4.5 million dollars of restoration with the immense help of our restoration company, United Restoration.
I am back in Wisconsin this week and have decided to sell our McFarland home. I have been thinking about it for a while. I really like Florida. I have a great community of friends and family down there and between them and this restoration project I am plenty busy!
So, here I am cleaning out a house and a lifetime of memories, but it's time to make new ones!
I am back to working out, lifting weights, swimming laps at the Venice YMCA, going out with family and friends and doing OK!
If anyone is in the Venice, Florida area anytime, please look me up, and let's get together! I've enjoyed spending time with everyone that came down this past winter and well I'll either be here, Wisconsin, or somewhere else. I do like to travel too so you never know!
Sharing a photo from when Amy and her family came to visit for Easter.
Love to All!
Joe
