Thursday 6/6/24

Hi All, Happy Thursday!

Julie has been in the hospital for the last 2 days. When we arrived she had a fever so they did some tests and decided she needed an antibiotic instead of more blood. That is good because her hemoglobin is being steady again around the 7 mark and we are all happy with that. We did order an at-home hemoglobin test kit, similar to a diabetes test kit where we can prick her finger and test at home. We probably won't do this every day but it will be nice to have the option and flexibility to do it when we want to. We will still go to the clinic for other bloodwork to be done when needed.

Patrick at the Burzynski Clinic has been helping us navigate this latest hospital experience and we are very grateful to have multiple opinions before we make any decisions. These doctors put a lot of fear in you and worst case scenarios that only increase your stress level, and we don't need more stress!

We did make the decision for Julie to have a procedure where they removed some fluid build up from her lungs. We are still waiting to get results on if that is where the infection was. But for now, she has some relief and is coughing less so that was a good decision!

If her bloodwork looks good today she gets to go home. She is looking forward to sleeping in her own bed.

We have had some other family members with health issues this week and we have been praying for them. God has a plan, and we trust him and his timing.

God bless to all.

Love

Joe and Julie
